an open letter..

dear blog,

so sorry little one, i’ve been neglecting you. you MUST know that i’ve been swamped with homework, stressing out over highly un-important things and well, rubbing my boyfriend’s back is just a bigger priority for me. deal with it.

my ongoing obsession with photobooth.

i apologize that my blog has been pretty boring lately. i’m TRYING to focus more on schoolwork because we’re getting absolutely swamped & also, spending time with my baby, who is going to california with work for a few days next week. lucky! the weather today is nice but um yeah, i’d MUCH rather be in a cali. 

right now, in my “writing for newspapers” class, we’re working on a story that for the FIRST time ..is an idea that we get to come up with. we also have to do interviews *craps* i don’t know why i get so nervous, i have an outgoing, bubbly & confident personality (sometimes) especially when i’m in interviews for jobs, or just speaking to people in general. 

i started a new birth control last night, yasmin, and i woke up in the middle of the night & this morning feeling sick to my stomach. nothing to be hugely alarmed about as my old pill did the same to me sometimes. or i have something seriously wrong with me & i’m just trying to blame my symptoms on birth control. i’m in denial! oh and i have to go BACK to the dentist tomorrow to get my tooth filled again. that = another needle. EFF. is anyone currently taking or have taken yasmin in the past? if so, please share your experience with it! i’ve HEARD its made some people depressed and thats the main reason why i switched from my other pill. no-baby pills are CONFUSING. 

anyways, i better get back to my article so that i can prevent having to bash my head against the wall when i’m behind and ripping my hair out from stress. all caused by me. OBVIOUSLY. i’ll leave you with these gems:

weight loss, thumb sucking & orange kitty cats.

for some reason, i can’t log into my new blog ..so until i can i’ll be posting here again.

i have tons of homework to do today & in the next weeks coming. i know i CAN do it ..i can complete these things, but i’m just not looking forward to all of the stress, tears (i’m sure there will be more than a few..) and exhaustion. even the simplest of tasks overwhelm me at times and when i have ALOT going on .. i’m a basketcase. 

i was watching tv this morning & came across a show i watch, pretty frequently – x-weighted – i’ve always wanted to apply because i’m really lazy & don’t feel i can actually make a huge lifestyle change, on my own. i’m disappointed because:

• this season is family weight loss shows and no one really in my immediate family would want to or need to, go on a weight loss show. 
• also! they only film in 3 provinces in canada ..none of which are the province i live in. insert sad face here. 

i COULD do it on my own (and probably will have to, in the long run) but when i have this much on my plate ..i can’t even begin to think about exercising regularly, making healthy meals in advance to take for lunch, NOT devouring every item of junk food in sight. i wish i wasn’t like that, i wish i could take on eveything! at once! and excel! but no, i fall apart after a long day of sitting in class, sitting on the bus and answering phones at work. sad, i tell you. 

jojo & i were driving to one of our routes at work yesterday and we saw a girl, no younger than 16 i’d say ..and i kid you not, this girl was SUCKING HER THUMB AT THE BUS STOP. whaaaaa? LOL – jo and i both did double takes, looked at eachother and were like ..”DID YOU JUST SEE WHAT I SAW?!” it’s not the end of the world, but come ON. at the bus stop? if you’re going to suck your thumb, i’d recommend you don’t do it at such a public place. on a busy street. while standing RIGHT by the curb, where hundreds of cars are passing at any given moment. just a suggestion. i won’t even get into the fact that a girl in our class was PICKING HER NOSE. at the table, right in front of us. *vomits everywhere* i’ve said too much, i was trying to recover and now i’ve gone and brought all of the disgust back. 

we got 8 trick or treaters this year. EIGHT. that probably beats what we got last year, which is pretty sad. there aren’t that many young kids in our neighborhood, but it always seems that the streets surrounding us are swimming with kids and ours is very neglected. RB’s dad bought pop & seriously ..that’s like currency to kids. little did they know what they were missing! we ended up ordering pizza (we got an extra medium pizza FREE too, because they effed up and gave us the wrong toppings) and watching “from dusk till dawn” which i’ve never seen & it baffles RB that i haven’t. RB also put lots of blood, sweat, and tears (they were on my part) into carving our pumpkin which turned out pretty damn good, if you ask me. i went with a kitty cat face, because it seemed the easiest & i was fuming with frustration over my too-long bus ride home, sitting beside an inconsiderate woman with her elbow jabbing me the whole time. ANYWAYS. we had a good night with our pizza and movie.

i’ve probably only had this blog for like, what? ..2 weeks now, but i’m moving already!

three of the most beautiful girls in the world

there are many great things about living with the red baron & his family. his mom bakes cookies like no other, she loves to take us out to eat & go shopping, and she’s easy to talk to. she honestly feels like my mom & i love that. his dad makes us dinner almost every night, plays the guitar & harmonica (oh and banjo, he’s very talented!) beautifully and he’s equally just as nice & interesting to talk to. nice people, nice family. 

when my parents got divorced, things were divided up accordingly. one thing that neither my mom or dad could take with them, were our 3 dogs – chloe, bella & blaze. they’re west highland terriers, cute little fluffs of white – bred by us, out of our own house! they went to loving homes & that makes me happy, but i still miss them. 

on top of all of the great things RB’s parents do for us and how nice they are ..they have 3 puppies too & this makes me real happy.

first of all, there’s sadie. otherwise known as, say-say, sadiekins, sades, hey you, stinky butt, etc. sadie is a bullmastiff and while she’s huge & looks like she could eat you, she’s the most loving, cuddly dog you could ever want. as mama baron would say ..”she’s the most beautiful dog in the world.” i think we know who her favorite is. sadie loves to carry around shoes, wag her tail quick & hit you with it, getting ON TOP of people to cuddle & lots of treats.

 

this sun-bathing beauty is piper. otherwise known as pipes, pipe-pipe, poip, pipen & stinky. piper is a german short-haired pointer who is supposed to be a hunting dog but her expertise lies in chasing butterflies, carrying around RB’s socks, passing gas (it’s horrid, i swear) cuddling & going to the park with her daddy every morning for a walk.

 

otis is an english bulldog and has a face only a mother could love (we kinda like her though). otherwise known as odie, odieodes, puppiekins, puppin and shithead. i almost forgot! we also call her fugs & fugly, cause she’s just so darn hideous. otis believes she is alpha & rules the house. she is attached at the hip to both mama baron & now me. she enjoys beating the shit out of piper, biting people’s hands & faces, wiggling her poo-poo tail when she’s excited & going on long walks and then panting for 3 hours. 

 

so, it was a sad time when i had to say goodbye to my own puppies but i gained three new best friends.

while searching through myspace the other day, i came across this indie artist – meghan smith  ..wow. i was instantly impressed with her voice, it’s so elegant & old-school. MAN ..i wish i could sing like her. i adore her style. go check her out on myspace (it’s worth it – my favorite song is ‘5 more minutes’) as well as take a look at the video below. enjoy! news tomorrow, about the future of my blog – am i moving? we’ll see!

wish this was YOUR dining room table? mama baron has been hard at work, slaving over a hot oven to make us DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookies. *drools everywhere* i’ve already had 3 & have no plans of stopping there.

after deciding that my new purple fall jacket made me look like a dwarf, the red baron took me back to the mall to return it. (i found the PERFECT fall jacket, purple as well, yesterday at the mall but it was $120.00!!) so i picked out a few things i’ve been wanting for awhile & exchanged my jacket-not-made-for-hobbits. i got new boots, gloves AND ..houndstooth earmuffs!! RB and i had lunch in the cute little diner at zeller’s. the food was mediocre but we had a really good time, laughing & joking with eachother. i even made it real romantic by accidentally burping REALLY loudly. lolol, i’m sure people at other tables heard it, but oh well – that’s me! i liked our date : ) 

i’m quite excited about my purchases. so excited that i carried my camera around (wearing the boots & earmuffs) taking pictures of myself until RB’s mom said, “RB ..jordan’s walking around doing weird things..”  LOL. she was kidding but that ended my paparazzi session, with myself.

i’m off to get a bit of studying done as i have a midterm tomorrow *stabs* but first, RB is craving something of the chocolate kind for dessert (and is very sick of cookies) so we’re going to head to the store to fatten ourselves up.

cute overload! i <3 animals.

i stumbled across a link today for cute overload and spent the next few minutes “awwing” over all over the pictures, with a huge goofy smile on my face. it’s amazing, the sheer joy that comes from looking at loving, innocent fluffs of fur. i want a kitten now, too.
